This is a long-term role for someone who will become an integral part of our family and build a strong bond with our child.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide loving, attentive care for our baby, ensuring safety is always the top priority.
  • Confidently manage sole charge and shared care (as a parent occasionally works from home).
  • Prepare healthy, age-appropriate meals for babies, toddlers, and preschoolers as the child grows.
  • Handle all nursery duties, including cleaning up after meals, rotating and sanitising toys, and maintaining a tidy environment.
  • Plan and organise stimulating, fun, and educational activities both indoors and outdoors.
  • Take initiative to arrange appropriate playdates, including reciprocal playdates.
  • Support developmental milestones, including weaning, potty training and early literacy (reading).
  • Manage child-related housework only (no general family cooking nor general housework).
  • Occasionally accompany the family on short trips for holidays or business (short, never extended stays).
  • Be open to occasional proxy parenting when both parents are away, when baby is a bit older.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience as a nanny or with some professional nursery childcare too.
  • Relevant childcare qualifications.
  • Extensive sole charge experience with babies and toddlers.
  • Fully confident in sole charge and shared care arrangements.
  • Highly organised, clean, and proactive.
  • Ability to cook healthy, age-appropriate balanced meals for young children.

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Flexible and committed to a long-term role.

  • Creative approach to play and learning.
  • Initiative and ability to plan engaging, fun and educational activities.
  • Fully invested in the family’s values and routines.
