Kind Consultancy is working with an exciting, fast-growing challenger bank which is currently seeking a Treasury Operations Analyst to join them on a 12-month Fixed Term Contract paying £40,000 - £50,000 dependent on experience, working remotely.
The Treasury Operations Analyst's primary focus will be on key treasury activities such as collateral management, payments, swaps settlement and intraday liquidity management, with core responsibilities including:
- Business As Usual support and cover of Treasury activities including reporting, reconciliation, settlements, payments processing, bank account signatories and other ad hoc tasks.
- Continual process change, implementing processes, procedures and reporting as required.
- Aiding in the management and maintenance of the bank's Treasury Management System, ensuring all transactions are recorded.
- Reconciliation of derivative valuations and analysis of MtM movements.
- Month-end preparations including statement gathering, fee and interest posting and resolving reconciliation discrepancies.
- Collateral Management reconciliation activities, including agreement of margin calls, collateral interest and coupons relating to derivative positions.
- Approval of trade confirmation matching for swaps and bonds.
- Performing daily payments, ensuring all treasury payments are made accurately and on time.
- Monitoring and reporting counterparty credit risk to ensure Treasury remains within the organisation's set policy.
- Daily management of collateral posting and exchange with Bank of England including Bank of England testing.
- Liaising with external counterparts (banks, brokers, etc) for smooth transactions and issue resolution.
- Assisting in projects that involve new products or partnerships from the Treasury Operations perspective.
Our ideal candidate for the Treasury Operations Analyst Fixed Term Contract:
- Has substantial experience of work within Treasury Back Office with knowledge of Treasury settlement processes and in particular Treasury transactions.
- Possesses a strong understanding of interest rate swaps, securities, liquidity and payments.
- Has a track record of successfully supporting Treasury with settlement of derivatives transactions and bonds and is able to perform the control checks for numbers accuracy.
- Demonstrates excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, developed from a finance-based background.
- Displays very strong written and spoken communication skills with use of MS Office including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Has experience of continuous process change, implementing processes, procedures, reporting as per the business needs.
- Has confidence, credibility and highly developed interpersonal skills with a can-do attitude.
