Our client is a long established and highly respected name in the offsite construction manufacturing sector. They provide a range of top-class products to clients in a wide range of sectors across the UK. They are currently looking to recruit a Health and Safety Manager to be based at their Tamworth office.
The main duties of the role are:
- Maintaining and monitoring the businesses ISO standards: ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation.
- Promote a positive safety culture throughout the organisation, and provide expert advice and guidance to managers and employees.
- Lead the development and review of risk assessments and method statements.
- Identify workplace hazards and implement suitable control measures.
- Develop and deliver health and safety training programmes.
- Support managers in fulfilling their health and safety responsibilities.
- Monitor key health and safety performance indicators.
- Review contractor terms and conditions, highlighting any potential concerns to senior management.
- Assess contractor competence.
- Monitor contractor compliance with site safety requirements.
- Lead internal health and safety audits.
- Support external audits and inspections.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Significant experience managing Health and Safety.
- Experience developing and implementing health and safety management systems.
- Experience of maintaining ISO standards.
- Experience carrying out audits and workplace inspections.
- Experience delivering health and safety training.
- Experience interpreting and applying UK health and safety legislation.
- Experience conducting incident investigations.
- NEBOSH National Diploma (or equivalent Level 6 Health and Safety qualification).
- Membership of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH).
- Excellent communication and management skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
