About the Role

We are seeking a methodical and delivery-focused Business Analyst to act as the bridge between business stakeholders and technology delivery across a multi-entity professional services organisation. You will be responsible for gathering, analysing, and documenting business requirements, shaping technology solutions, and ensuring that each change initiative, implementations through to process optimisation — delivers measurable business value. This is a high-impact, hands-on role for an analytical thinker who thrives at the intersection of business, finance, and technology, turning complex objectives into structured, actionable outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with business and teams to elicit, analyse, and document requirements, translating business needs into functional and technical specifications.
  • Use structured business analysis methodologies (e.g., BABOK, BCS, Agile BA) to create comprehensive requirements catalogues, capturing both as-is and to-be processes.
  • Facilitate workshops, interviews, and process-mapping sessions across finance, HR, compliance, and operational functions.
  • Develop functional and non-functional specifications, ensuring alignment with business goals, regulatory requirements, and audit standards.
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager to define project scope, deliverables, success criteria, and business cases.
  • Map current workflows, identify gaps, and recommend process and system improvements.
  • Support vendor evaluation, solution design, and implementation for industry aligned and reporting systems.
  • Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) — develop test plans, scripts, track issues, and ensure solutions meet business expectations.
  • Produce detailed documentation, including process maps, data flows, and user guides for post-launch adoption.
  • Contribute to business case development, ROI tracking, and benefits realisation for technology investments.
  • Ensure consistency, traceability, and compliance in requirements management across projects and systems.

About You

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst in multi-entity or multi-division environments, with exposure to finance, HR, or operational systems.
  • Strong track record in requirements gathering, business process design, and end-to-end system change delivery.
  • Experienced in building requirements catalogues and using recognised methodologies such as MoSCoW, Volere, BABOK, or Agile user stories.
  • Skilled at mapping as-is and to-be processes, conducting gap analyses, and translating complex workflows into actionable solutions.
  • Comfortable engaging with executives, business stakeholders, and technical teams to deliver measurable outcomes.
  • Familiar with financial and regulatory frameworks (FCA, AML, client due diligence) preferred.

Soft Skills

  • Strong analytical and structured problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent facilitation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Detail-oriented, organised, and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Skilled in building trusted relationships across Finance, IT, and Operations.
  • Passion for continuous improvement and technology-enabled transformation.

Technical Skills

  • Proficient in requirements and modelling tools (Visio, Lucidchart, Miro, Jira, Confluence).
  • Skilled in documenting use cases, user stories, acceptance criteria, and process maps.
  • Familiarity with data governance, security, integration principles, and basic SQL/reporting for validation.

Core Strengths

  • Analytical Thinking: Clarifies complex requirements using structured approaches.
  • Stakeholder Management: Builds consensus across multi-level teams.
  • Business Acumen: Understands finance, HR, and operational workflows.
  • Change Enablement: Supports adoption through training, testing, and communication.
  • Collaboration: Works seamlessly with project managers, developers, and vendors.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensures solutions meet business and compliance standards.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Accounting, or related discipline.
  • 3–5 years’ relevant experience as a Business Analyst.
  • Professional certification preferred (BCS BA Diploma, IIBA CBAP, or Agile BA).
