About the Role
As an HGV Class 1 Weekend Driver, you will be responsible for:
- Completing daily vehicle checks to ensure your vehicle is roadworthy and safe to operate
- Arriving on time for your scheduled duties and informing the traffic office of any issues or delays
- Following all company procedures, customer requirements and the Highway Code
- Maintaining high standards of health and safety at all times
- Completing all deliveries and collections as detailed on the manifest
- Complying with all EU Tachograph and Working Time Directive (WTD) regulations
- Keeping your vehicle clean, tidy and presentable
Skills & Experience Required
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- A full LGV C+E (Class 1) Licence
- A valid Driver Qualification Card (Driver CPC)
- A valid Digital Tachograph Card
- Good communication skills
- Experience operating double-deck trailers
- Experience with containers (dock‑compliant drivers would be advantageous)
- A flexible and reliable approach to work
