Kinaxia Okarno are recruiting a Yard Operative to join their team at their site in Ruddington. The role of the Yard Operative will be to thoroughly administer the incoming and outgoing vehicles within the yard. Assurance of Health and Safety standards are adhered to.

Alternate shift pattern (week 1 06:00 – 14:00 / week 2 12:00 – 20:00) 45 hours per week NG11 6AE

About the Job:

  • Shunting trailers from the transport site to our Warehousing sites as instructed by the traffic team.
  • Organising the vehicle / trailer parking to minimise loading times.
  • Organising visiting vehicles for loading/unloading and/or overnight parking.
  • Organising vehicles & Trailers for our workshop.
  • Meeting and greeting visitors to site and directing them to the correct office.
  • Ensuring Health & Safety within the yard is compliant and everyone wears hi viz and are aware of our site rules.
  • Completing daily vehicle checks as and when required.
  • Assisting loading
  • Other general duties as directed by the management team.

Your knowledge and experience:

  • Driving License (Full EU Licence)
  • Knowledge of transport methods, costs and benefits, routes and geography
  • Safety knowledge of goods loading and unloading processes
