Kinaxia Logistics have an opportunity for an IT Director to join our business. The IT Director is a key role for the design and delivery of services from Group IT to the businesses. The purpose of this role is not to ‘run’ service delivery; it is to design the future of service in a changing business.

Dimensions:

  • Manage an annual operating budget with up to 5 direct reports.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Lead on the management of the IT infrastructure and necessary software applications to ensure they are continually fit for purpose.
  • Lead and develop the IT function and be the cyber security champion to minimise any risk to the Group.
  • Manage and administrate current and future platforms working with third-party support vendors to ensure an effective and efficient IT Service is being provided.
  • Lead on the professional development of the team by providing expertise on specific technologies and procedures and transferring and building on current knowledge and experience to improve the team’s skill levels.
  • Prepare and complete daily system monitoring tasks and review systems performance in order to produce accurate report utilisation and performance statistics to the Board.
  • Manage service impacting incidents, remediate issues, identify preventive measures to improve processes, tools and overall performance of systems to improve operational efficiency.
  • Engage new and existing customers as the senior IT stakeholder and build, grow and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders from each business to develop and promote partnership working across the Group.
  • Complete roll out of new Transport Management System and standardize means of operating.
  • Implement IT requirements for new business wins.

  • Procurement, inventory and asset management of IT equipment experience as well as experience of the overall IT lifecycle.
  • Apps and integration background experience and how to apply IT to the workplace and customers.
  • Experience of delivering an IT Application portfolio and IT Strategy.
