Kinara Group are partnering with an established and growing organisation in the clinical diagnostics space, supporting laboratories across the UK with a strong portfolio spanning microbiology, virology, and molecular testing. Due to continued growth, they are looking to hire a Field Applications Specialist to support customers across instrument installation, assay implementation, and ongoing technical training.
This is a field-based, customer-facing role working closely with NHS and private laboratories, supporting the adoption and effective use of diagnostic solutions across infectious disease testing. You’ll play a key role across the full customer journey — from pre-installation and validation through to training, optimisation, and troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver on-site installation, validation, and training of diagnostic platforms and assays
- Provide ongoing technical support and troubleshooting across microbiology and molecular workflows
- Support the commercial team with pre-sales demos, evaluations, and technical discussions
- Build strong relationships with:
- Biomedical Scientists
- Clinical Scientists
- Laboratory Managers
- Experience within clinical diagnostics or laboratory environments
- Strong background in one or more of:
- Microbiology
- Virology
- Molecular diagnostics (PCR, qPCR, etc.)
- Biomedical Scientist (BMS)
- Field Applications Specialist
- Laboratory-based technical role
