A global life sciences and diagnostics technology organisation with a substantial international footprint is seeking a senior commercial leader to drive growth across its digital pathology portfolio. The business employs several thousand people worldwide, with a significant European presence and operations across multiple countries.
The product portfolio spans advanced imaging and microscopy solutions used in clinical diagnostics, medical and basic research, alongside technologies supporting industrial applications, non-destructive testing, and analytical workflows.
- Achieve and exceed quarterly and annual sales quota, unit sales objectives, profit targets, and market share goals.
- Provide clear direction, leadership, coaching, and mentoring to a specialist commercial team.
- Drive professional development, sales effectiveness, operational efficiency, and high standards of conduct across the team.
- Recruit, develop, and train team members with clearly defined targets and performance expectations.
- Forecast monthly revenue and unit performance using CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce).
- Lead funnel management and ensure disciplined CRM usage aligned to structured implementation plans.
- Build, strengthen, and maintain senior relationships within strategic and key accounts.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, service, distribution, and technical teams to deliver complex digital pathology implementations.
- Manage internal communication and handovers to ensure alignment on large and strategic projects and tenders.
- Deliver high levels of customer satisfaction through effective pre- and post-sales engagement.
- Partner closely with customer care, technical support, and service teams to ensure smooth implementation and ongoing support.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (Life Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, Biotechnology, or similar), or equivalent commercial experience.
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience leading sales and/or service teams within a high-growth healthcare or life sciences technology environment.
- Strong background in digital pathology, pathology informatics, healthcare IT, AI-enabled diagnostics, or workflow solutions.
- Deep industry knowledge with an established customer and partner network.
- Proven success managing complex, consultative sales cycles and public or private tenders.
- Demonstrated leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
