£14.50–£15.50 per hour, depending on experience.
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Wok Chef to join our busy Thai kitchen in Battersea. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced kitchen and has strong experience preparing authentic Thai cuisine using traditional wok techniques.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 3 years’ experience working in a Thai kitchen.
- Proven experience running a wok station in a high-volume kitchen.
- Strong knowledge of Thai ingredients, sauces, herbs and cooking methods.
- Ability to prepare dishes consistently to a high standard.
- Confident managing multiple orders during busy service periods.
- Level 2 Food Safety & Hygiene Certificate.
- Allergen Awareness Training.
- Strong understanding of food safety, allergen management and kitchen compliance.
- Eligible to work in the UK.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook authentic Thai dishes using traditional wok techniques.
- Maintain consistency, quality and presentation across all dishes.
- Keep your workstation clean, organised and service-ready.
- Monitor stock levels and assist with correct stock rotation.
- Follow all food safety, hygiene and allergen-control procedures.
- Work closely with the Head Chef and wider kitchen team during service.
- Help ensure smooth and efficient service during busy periods.
Desirable
- Experience with authentic regional Thai cuisine.
- Ability to support and train junior kitchen staff.
- Good English communication skills.
- Thai language skills are a plus.
- Reliable, punctual and comfortable working evenings and weekends.
Pay: £14.50–£15.50 per hour, depending on experience.
