We’re proud to be partnering with a fantastic marketing agency supporting ambitious SMEs to scale through digital strategy. With a senior core team and a trusted network of specialists, they combine boutique agility with deep technical expertise. Collaboration, accountability and measurable impact sit at the heart of how they work.
This is a hands-on SEO role where you’ll take ownership of delivery across a portfolio of client accounts. You’ll be trusted to manage performance end to end, with the support of senior team members around you. You’ll contribute to strategy, but a big part of your value will come from your ability to actually implement and improve what’s in place.
Key responsibilities include:
- Owning SEO delivery across multiple client accounts, with a clear focus on performance and growth
- Carrying out technical SEO audits and implementing fixes across crawlability, indexation, Core Web Vitals and site structure
- Delivering on-page optimisation directly, including metadata, internal linking and page improvements
- Planning and creating SEO-led content, from keyword research and search intent through to writing or refining content yourself
- Identifying opportunities to improve site performance and taking action, rather than relying on others to do so
- Monitoring rankings, traffic and conversion performance, using data to refine and improve your approach
- Supporting wider SEO strategy and contributing ideas, working closely with senior team members
- Collaborating with developers and wider teams where needed, but comfortable owning delivery independently
- Keeping up to date with changes in search, including AI-driven results and evolving SEO best practice
What We’re Looking For:
- 2 - 3 years’ experience in an SEO-focused role, ideally within an agency environment
- Strong technical SEO capability, with confidence implementing changes, not just auditing
- Experience delivering SEO content yourself, not just briefing or overseeing
- Comfortable working across both technical and content SEO, without relying heavily on specialists
- Experience managing multiple campaigns or accounts, with good organisation and attention to detail
- Commercial awareness and confidence discussing performance with clients
- Someone who enjoys being hands-on, takes ownership and follows work through to completion
- Keen to develop further into a more strategic, client-facing role over time
- Up-to-date understanding of how SEO is evolving, particularly around AI and search behaviour
Why Apply?
You’ll join a fantastic marketing agency where ownership is encouraged, initiative is valued and your work directly impacts client growth. This is a role for someone who enjoys being in the detail as much as the bigger picture. You’ll be trusted to deliver, supported to develop, and given the space to grow into a more strategic position over time.
Location:
This is a home-based role with regular travel to client sites, so a full UK driving licence is required. You’ll attend monthly meetings at the Watford office with the wider team, with the rest of your time spent out with clients or working remotely. This makes the role easily commutable from areas including St Albans, Hemel Hempstead, Harrow, Uxbridge, High Wycombe, Slough, Luton, and wider parts of Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire, Essex and North London.
Please include your current or preferred location, salary expectations, and notice period when applying. CVs in Microsoft Word format are preferred (avoid textboxes or images to ensure accurate matching). We are committed to equality, diversity, and inclusion, actively promoting diversity across all minority groups to create workplaces where everyone feels valued, respected, and empowered.
