Kin Collective is proud to be working again with Ely Foodbank, a well-known local charity supporting individuals and families across East Cambridgeshire and Fenland. They’re now looking for a Foodbank Operations Manager to play a central role in supporting the continued delivery and development of their services. This is a varied and rewarding opportunity for someone who enjoys bringing structure, organisation, and people together within a role that genuinely makes a difference locally.
The Opportunity
Working closely with the CEO and wider team, you’ll oversee the day-to-day operations of the foodbank network, supporting volunteers, maintaining strong referral partnerships, and helping ensure services continue to run smoothly across multiple locations. The role combines operational management, volunteer coordination, community engagement, safeguarding, systems administration, and process improvement, making it ideal for someone who enjoys a hands-on and people-focused environment.
The Role
Responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the smooth delivery of foodbank services across multiple sites
- Coordinating volunteers, rotas, onboarding, and ongoing engagement
- Acting as a key contact for referral agencies, local partners, and community organisations
- Supporting safeguarding processes and operational compliance
- Managing and maintaining systems including Monday.com, Microsoft 365, DCS, and Bright HR
- Monitoring operational activity, reporting, and process improvements
- Supporting community initiatives, seasonal campaigns, and volunteer events
- Helping maintain strong operational standards across all foodbank sessions

Location

Please note, occasional evening or weekend attendance may be required to support community events, campaigns, and seasonal initiatives.
