Are you an immediately available and experienced Event Manager who loves turning complex ideas into standout event experiences? We’re partnering with a global technology consultancy who are looking for an Event Manager to join their marketing team on a 6-month contract, with an immediate start.

Events play a central role in how this business connects with clients, partners and senior decision-makers around the world. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys variety, pace, and being right in the middle of delivery, from shaping the initial brief through to flawless execution.

You’ll work closely with a collaborative, international marketing team, delivering a wide range of exhibitions, conferences, sponsorships, hosted and virtual events, primarily across the UK and US markets.

Responsibilities
  • Owning the end-to-end delivery of client-facing events, from planning and project management through to on-site delivery and evaluation
  • Working with internal stakeholders to ensure events support wider marketing and commercial objectives
  • Coordinating integrated marketing activity around events, partnering with digital, PR, social, design and web teams
  • Managing event budgets, timelines, suppliers and logistics to ensure smooth delivery
  • Building strong relationships with external organisers, agencies and logistics partners
  • Attending events where needed to support set-up, delivery and pack-down
What we’re looking for

This role would suit someone who can hit the ground running. You’ll have strong experience in marketing and events, particularly exhibitions, alongside excellent organisational and project management skills. You’ll be detail-driven, calm under pressure, and naturally collaborative, with a good instinct for what makes a compelling delegate experience.

You’ll also be comfortable being hands-on when required and confident communicating with stakeholders across different parts of the business. Experience delivering healthcare events, familiarity with tools such as HubSpot or Asana, and flexibility around travel or occasional out-of-hours work would be beneficial, but not essential.

Why apply

This is a great opportunity to join a globally respected technology consultancy and make an immediate impact within a high-performing marketing team. You’ll work on high-profile international events, collaborate with talented professionals, and play a visible role in how the brand shows up to its most important audiences.

Location

Occasional UK and international travel will be required. Due to the office location and hybrid working pattern, this position would suit candidates living in Cambridgeshire and surrounding areas including Duxford, Sawston, Cambridge, Royston, Haverhill, Saffron Walden, Peterborough, Huntingdon, Newmarket, Ely and further afield.
