We’re working with a fantastic Cambridge-based marketing agency to find a highly organised Junior Project Manager who enjoys making things happen, bringing teams together and keeping complex client projects moving. This is a delivery-focused position within an experienced team, but it isn’t a role where you’ll be hidden behind project plans. You’ll work directly with clients, build trusted day-to-day relationships and take genuine ownership of projects from the initial brief through to completion.
You may already be a Junior Project Manager, or you could come from a marketing agency account management background where project delivery has formed a significant part of your role.
The Role- Take ownership of multiple client projects, developing clear plans, timelines and priorities to keep delivery on track.
- Coordinate internal specialists and external suppliers, ensuring everyone understands the brief, deadlines and expected outcomes.
- Lead project meetings, maintain clear communication and build positive working relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Monitor budgets, resources and project scope, identifying potential risks or changes before they affect delivery.
- Resolve challenges proactively and ensure work is completed accurately, efficiently and to a consistently high standard.
- Previous experience managing projects within a marketing, communications, creative or similarly fast-paced agency environment.
- You could be a Junior Project Manager, an Account Executive with significant delivery responsibilities, or a Senior Account Executive ready to step up.
- Highly organised and dependable, with the ability to remain calm while managing competing projects and deadlines.
- A confident communicator and natural relationship builder who is comfortable working directly with clients.
- Commercially aware, proactive and solutions-focused, with experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience within healthcare communications, medical education, patient engagement, healthcare advertising or another regulated sector would be particularly advantageous.
- Relevant scientific knowledge or a recognised project management qualification would also be beneficial, but neither is essential.
This is an opportunity to join a well-established agency where you’ll be trusted to take ownership, develop strong client relationships and play an important role in the successful delivery of varied projects. It could be an excellent next step for someone who already enjoys the project delivery side of agency life and would like to make it the main focus of their role. You’ll work with an experienced and collaborative team, with plenty of opportunity to contribute ideas and strengthen how projects are managed.
Although the salary isn’t being advertised, the agency pays above market rate and is prepared to offer a strong package to secure the right person. The final salary will reflect the successful candidate’s experience, sector knowledge and current level of responsibility, so we would encourage relevant candidates to have an initial confidential conversation with us.
LocationThe agency is based in Cambridge and is open to hybrid working. Remote working may also be considered for an exceptional candidate with significant relevant industry experience. The office is commutable from areas within Cambridgeshire including Ely, Newmarket, Royston, Saffron Walden, Huntingdon, St Ives and Haverhill.
We are committed to equality, diversity, and inclusion, actively promoting diversity across all minority groups to create workplaces where everyone feels valued, respected, and empowered.
