As a Theatre Support Worker, you’ll play an essential role in preparing operating theatres, ensuring the theatre and recovery areas are maintained to the highest standards, escorting and assisting patients, and ensuring accurate record-keeping. Every day, you’ll have the opportunity to improve the patient experience and contribute to their recovery.
You\'ll work 4 days per week (Monday to Saturday, 07:30 – 18:00), with just 1 Saturday per month, offering a great work-life balance.

What You\'ll Be Doing
As a Theatre Support Worker, your key responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and cleaning theatre and recovery areas before and after surgeries, ensuring adherence to cleaning schedules.
- Stocking and maintaining stock levels in cupboards and containers.
- Assisting with patient collection and escorting, as well as helping transfer patients from trolleys to tables under supervision.
- Supporting the safe positioning of patients on the operating table.
- Acting as the circulating person for the scrub team, within your scope of responsibilities.
Who We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in Operating Theatres or a Decontamination Unit.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to follow instructions accurately and work under pressure.
- A flexible, adaptable approach to working with tight deadlines.
- NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or Care Certificate.
- Experience as a Theatre Support Worker.
