Role Responsibilities

As a Senior Theatre Practitioner, you will:

  • Work primarily as a scrub practitioner within Orthopaedics.
  • Lead and mentor junior members of the team, deputising for the Lead Theatre Practitioner when necessary.
  • Prepare operating and anaesthetic rooms for surgery as required.
  • Ensure the highest standards of infection prevention and control are carried out.
  • Assessing patient care requirements, implementing care, and evaluating outcomes.

Who we are looking for

  • Be a registered Practitioner (RN or ODP)
  • Have experience in planning, organising and running lists within the theatre suite.
  • Experience of supervising staff and scheduling operating lists
  • Have evidence of continuous professional development and its application.
  • Post registration qualification as Practice Supervisor or Assessor
  • Post registration clinical experience in Anaesthetics, in an acute hospital (NHS or Private) within the last 18 months.
