We have an exciting opportunity for a compassionate and energetic nurse to join our Outpatients department as a Staff Nurse.

As a staff nurse in our outpatient department you will be responsible for providing consistently high standards of care and support to our patients over a wide range of specialities including orthopaedics, dermatology, urology, gynaecology, gastroenterology and more.

You will be a strong and empathetic Registered Nurse who has the ability to build a rapport with your patients in a short period of time, deliver outstanding care, lead and implement change and engage with stakeholders at all levels.

The shift pattern will be working Monday to Saturday between 0800 – 2000.

  • Role Responsibilities Include
  • Demonstrating outstanding clinical practice at all times
  • Working within a multi-disciplinary team led by a supportive senior nursing team
  • Plan, implement and deliver a holistic patient centred care to a group of patients
  • Maintaining accurate patient records utilising the most up to date evidenced based care and guidelines
  • Working to develop a strong, effective team by developing the vision and strategy of "health care at its best"

Person Specification

  • Be a Registered Nurse (RN RGN).
  • Experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Experience undertaking the following: wound care, phlebotomy, minor ops and gynae/urology procedures is desirable but training can be given to the right candidate.
  • To be patient focussed, with a desire and proven ability to deliver healthcare at its best.
  • Have knowledge of clinical governance and its application along with evidence of continuous professional development.
  • To be confident in building relationships with the ability to easily engage with others including consultants, colleagues and patients.
