Are you an experienced administrator with the ability to prioritise your workload? Are you committed to excellent patient care? We have an exciting opportunity for a process‑driven individual to join our Imaging Team as an Imaging Administrator. You will be responsible for the day‑to‑day co‑ordination of radiology patient appointments and organisation of diagnostic clinics.
This role is ideally suited to a highly organised and patient‑focused administrator who has experience dealing with stakeholders at all levels both face to face, over the telephone and email. This is a 40‑hour per week role working Monday to Friday between 08:00 and 20:00. Shifts are either 08:00‑16:00, 10:00‑18:00 and 12:00‑20:00.
Role Responsibilities- Organise and manage the day‑to‑day booking of radiology patient appointments, effectively utilising the clinic sessions available.
- Provide efficient and effective back office telephone and e‑mail administration services in a prompt and professional manner.
- Monitor the NHS e‑mail for urgent referrals.
- Welcome all patients, visitors, consultants and staff to the radiology department and provide direction to other hospital departments when required and confirming all patient details.
- Scan onto PAS all referrals and relevant paperwork received, in a timely manner.
- Have a good level of general education including grade 4 or equivalent in English and Maths.
- Have experience within a similar, customer‑focused administrative role.
- Have good IT skills including Word and Excel.
- Have excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
- Have a working knowledge and understanding of medical terminology.
- Have experience working in a hospital administration role.
- Have experience with radiology patient information and booking systems (RIS/PAS).
