We’re on the lookout for a motivated and methodical Decontamination Technician to join our expert Theatres team here at KIMS Hospital – Kent’s largest independent hospital. In this vital role, you’ll ensure our reusable medical instruments are meticulously cleaned, sterilised, and repackaged, helping to maintain the highest standards of patient safety and care. What You’ll Be Doing:
- Checking in used surgical instruments and equipment after procedures
- Prepping and processing instruments for decontamination
- Assembling surgical instrument trays to the highest standard
- Using our digital tracking systems to log and trace equipment every step of the way
- Ensuring all tasks are carried out with accuracy, efficiency, and care
Who We’re Looking For:
- A good standard of general education with strong literacy and numeracy skills
- Confident IT skills and the ability to follow set procedures
- A logical, process-led approach with an eye for detail
- A team player with excellent time-management and problem-solving skills
- Previous experience in a CSSD or Decontamination Unit
- Exposure to working in an acute hospital or healthcare setting
