Role Overview
As a Bank Care Support Worker at KIMS Hospital, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and supporting the nursing team within outpatient and clinical settings. You will help ensure patients receive high-quality, compassionate care aligned with the KIMS vision of “championing healthcare at its best”. This role is ideal for someone patient-focused, adaptable, and committed to excellent standards of care and patient experience.
Main Responsibilities
- Support patients before, during and after clinic appointments, ensuring comfort, dignity and reassurance at all times.
- Monitor and record basic clinical observations such as temperature, pulse, respirations and weight, maintaining accurate patient records.
- Assist with patient admission and registration processes and act as a chaperone when required.
- Prepare and maintain clinical equipment, treatment areas and supplies to ensure smooth running of clinics.
- Champion infection prevention and control, patient safety, confidentiality and KIMS values in all aspects of your work.
Essential Criteria
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 (or equivalent) and a minimum of 6 months’ experience working in a care environment within the last 3 years.
- A caring, compassionate approach with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while maintaining confidentiality and professional boundaries.
Desirable Criteria
- Flexibility to work across different departments and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
- Basic IT/keyboard skills.
