At KIMS Hospital, we carry out both day surgery, working to British Association of Day Surgery (BADS) guidelines, and surgery requiring overnight stay. Our specialities include orthopaedics, gynaecology, ENT, cosmetic and bariatric surgery as well as general surgery and ophthalmology. We’re growing our services and welcoming more patients through our doors, which means we’re now looking for experienced Registered Nurses to join our bank team on our Surgical Wards.

Whether you’re looking for extra hours or a more flexible way to work, you’ll be a vital part of our multidisciplinary team, supporting patients from admission through to discharge.

Main duties of the job:
  • Delivering high-quality, individualized care – with the time to do it well.
  • Assessing, planning, and implementing care based on patients' specific needs.
  • Maintaining accurate care records and taking accountability for clinical decisions in line with NMC standards.
  • Supporting junior staff and stepping in for senior nurses when needed.
  • Continuously developing your own practice through learning and feedback.

Person Specification:

Qualifications: You are a Registered Adult Nurse with a current NMC PIN. A postgraduate course in your clinical specialty.

Experience: You have post-registration experience in a clinical setting - ideally in surgery or orthopaedics. You are confident communicating with patients, families, and teams. You value safety, empathy, and professional growth. Knowledge of BADS (British Association of Day Surgery) best practice.
