Are you a GPhC registered Pharmacist with a passion for providing excellent customer service? Are you looking for a good work life balance? Do you want to gain experience in a Hospital Pharmacy environment? Due to the launch of new services and an increase in patient activity we have an exciting opportunity for a motivated Clinical Pharmacist to join our Pharmacy Team. You will be a key member of our multi-disciplinary team and will support the Pharmacy team in providing an outstanding pharmacy service, to both inpatient and outpatients. This role is ideally suited to a Clinical Pharmacist who is completely patient focused, with excellent attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication skills with stakeholders at all levels.

Role Responsibilities

  • Provide a high level of individualised packages of pharmaceutical care to both inpatients and outpatients.
  • Conduct clinical screening of prescriptions prior to dispensing.
  • Conduct and support medicines reconciliations.
  • Check accuracy of prescriptions after dispensing.
  • Dispense prescriptions in an accurate and timely manner.

Person Specification

Essential

  • Be a qualified Pharmacist with a current GPhC registration.
  • Have knowledge of the safe and effective use of medicines and medicines legislation.
  • Have strong communication skills and an ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Have the ability to work accurately with excellent attention to detail.

Desirable

  • Have a postgraduate qualification in a relevant specialty.
  • Have experience working in a Hospital Pharmacy.
