As a Lead Physician, you will be at the forefront of delivering excellence in clinical care while guiding and supporting a team of dedicated doctors and Health Advisors. Your leadership will ensure consistent standards of high-quality care across Bupa Health Clinics at Sevenoaks Medical Centre, Lyca Health Orpington and The Royal Tunbridge Wells Clinic. This is an exciting opportunity to blend hands-on clinical work with strategic oversight in a setting that prioritises patient experience, clinical governance, and continuous professional development.
About The Role
You will be responsible for:
- Providing clinical leadership and management to Bupa doctors and Health Advisors across our centres and remote services.
- Delivering comprehensive health assessments with a varied caseload.
- Playing a key role in clinical governance, including audits, incident reviews, and preparation for CQC inspections.
- Supporting and mentoring GPs through CPD, appraisals, and performance management, fostering a culture of excellence and learning.
- Driving results and quality improvements in collaboration with centre and hospital management teams.
What We’re Looking For
- An experienced GMC registered GP.
- Passion for delivering high-quality, patient-centred care.
- Demonstrated experience in clinical leadership, team development, and performance management.
- Excellent communication, decision-making and organisational skills.
- Confidence in working within both face-to-face and remote services.
- A commitment to continuous professional development and healthcare improvement.
Desirable Experience
- Previous experience within the private healthcare sector including carrying out health assessments.
- Background in mentoring, training, and appraisal.
- Familiarity with quality improvement frameworks and commercial healthcare operations.
