Kimbolton School is seeking a well‑qualified, adaptable, enthusiastic and supportive Games Coach to design and deliver games lessons across both the Senior (Years 7‑13) and Preparatory Schools (Years 1‑6). The Games Coach will have a specialism in one of our major sports (hockey, football, netball, cricket, or tennis) and/or significant experience in strength and conditioning. It is essential the successful candidate be working towards a current NGB Coaching qualification in level 2 or above and have experience of coaching in a wide range of environments. Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills are also required.

Responsibilities

  • Tailor coaching techniques to the different teams and abilities, ensuring all players are challenged and provided with continuous opportunities for improvement.
  • Design and deliver games lessons.
  • Manage and coach teams for all home and away matches.
  • Lead and assist in purposeful and safe training sessions for teams and individuals.

Qualifications

  • Well‑qualified, adaptable, enthusiastic and supportive as a Games Coach.
  • Specialism in one of the major sports (hockey, football, netball, cricket, tennis) and/or significant experience in strength and conditioning.
  • Working towards a current NGB Coaching qualification level 2 or above.
  • Experience of coaching in a wide range of environments.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
