Job Description

In this role you will be accountable for safe operation of the Dry End of the tissue machine, working in collaboration with the other machine operators.
Responsibilities
- Accountable for safe operation of the Dry End of the tissue machine.
- Maintain product quality at all times through adherence to documented quality standards, including performing scheduled testing as required.
- First line of response for process and technical issues.
- Escalate safety, quality, technical or process issues to Shift Leadership.
- Engage in all of KC’s Safety, Quality & Delivery systems and processes.
- Collate information on all major events through the shift to provide a carefully documented handover.

As a person, you’re a flexible thinker, a motivated fixer – someone who is always taking initiative to solve problems, make things better and respectfully engage others along the journey with you. You will demonstrate previous experience, work best under pressure and deliver high value to your team by owning issues through resolution, being flexible in both mindset and practice and working collaboratively with them toward team goals.
Education And Experience Requirements
- 5 GCSE’s A-C passes including English & Maths desirable but not essential.
- HNC in Tissue or Board Making desirable but not essential.
- Experience of operating a Tissue/Paper converting machine and/or working in an FMCG environment.
- Basic maintenance skills are desirable, but not essential.
- FLT License desirable but not essential as training will be given.
- Crane/hoist experience desirable but not essential as training will be given.
