Then we have the role for you – we currently have exciting opportunities available for Permanent Operator. This opportunity is only being advertised internally in our Northfleet Mill.
In this role you will be responsible for the safe operation of both winders, working in close collaboration with the Coremaker, Packaging Hall Ops and the TM Reel Handler.
About You
As a person, you’re a flexible thinker, a motivated fixer – someone who is always taking initiative to solve problems, make things better and respectfully engage others along the journey with you. As an operator, you can demonstrate your previous experience, you work best under pressure and you deliver high value to your team by owning issues through resolution, being flexible (in both mindset and practice) and working collaboratively with them toward team goals. You will also have the following.
- Role will include the first line of response for process and technical issues.
- Responsible to escalate safety, quality, technical or process issues to Shift Leadership.
- Operating both Perini Winders to convert reels of tissue from the paper machine into toilet rolls.
- Working with and engaged in all of KC’s Safety, Quality & Delivery systems and processes
- Collates information on all major events through the shift to provide a carefully documented handover.
Education And Experience Requirements
- 5 GCSE’s A-C passes including English & Maths desirable but not essential.
- HNC in Tissue or Board Making desirable but not essential.
- Experience of operating a Tissue/Paper converting machine and/or working in an FMCG environment.
- Basic maintenance skills are desirable, but not essential.
- FLT License is desirable but not essential as training will be given.
- Crane/hoist experience is desirable but not essential as training will be given.
