This role will be part of Kimberly Clark's International Family Care and Professional (IFP) business—an organization rooted in purpose and innovation that has built a legacy with global impact. As Kimberly-Clark forms a strategic partnership with Suzano to create a world-class international tissue and professional products company, this role is proposed to transfer to the new venture once the transaction closes, anticipated in mid-2026, subject to consultation and other applicable legal requirements. This role assists in achieving the business strategies by supporting & leading implementation of EMEA Health & Safety initiatives & ensures mill strategy is aligned. You will also provide support to the safety & environment lead and business areas of the mill in the delivery of health and safety objectives and projects.
In this role, your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Leads in ensuring the required Health & Safety responsibilities are being carried out fully across the mill.
- Ensures mill compliance with legislation and standards and builds and manages effective relationships with relevant external bodies where necessary.
- Supports development and continuous improvement of the mill EHS Management System.
- Manage 3rd Party Health and Safety Compliance (i.e. RDC, LSM and Amazon).
- Lead Implementation and Management of Contractor Management Initiatives.
- Report on compliance on all EHS schedules, LSW and inspections.
- Own some Occupational Health performance standards.
- Conduct internal EHS Training for operators & delivers mandated Health & Safety training either in person or via online training platforms.
- Lead behavioural safety (SAFE) program for Northfleet Mill.
- Supports or leads investigation of operational activity to identify root causes of accidents and incidents and communicates findings as required to internal and external parties to prescribed timelines.
- Participates in Safety and Environmental audits (to include third party Facilities Management activities) and ensures ISO 45001 compliance.
- Provides guidance in risk assessments of machinery and operational activity and supports the subsequent risk reduction plans for these.
To succeed in this role, you will need the following qualifications:
- A minimum of NEBOSH Certificate. NEBOSH Diploma or working towards is desirable.
- ISO Lead Auditor or working towards is desirable.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience preferably in FMCG managing safety.
