An Electrical Engineer role has arisen at Barrow Mill. To work as part of the TM5 Team, providing engineering leadership and coordination, taking ownership of electrical issues and ensuring that all engineering decisions are made with full awareness of operational needs. To provide ‘real time’ leadership on shift; with responsibility for ensuring that people, operational and business requirements are achieved and that the operation complies with specific Company, Local and Statutory requirements. The Shift Manager will spend the majority of time on the floor driving performance and in contact with shift Team Members on production and people issues. To co‑ordinate site activities out of day work hours and weekends.

About You

As an electrical engineer, you will work as part of the Tissue Machine team providing engineering leadership and coordination, taking ownership of all aspects of Electrical Engineering aligned to the operational needs of the assets. Leading the successful implementation of the electrical aspects of TM5.

You will also…

  • Formal Engineering qualifications, typically to degree level (minimum HNC).
  • Knowledge and experience within the industry.
  • Relevant experience in an FMCG environment.
  • Provide support in the development of reliability skills in the operating teams.
  • Experience in an Electrical Technical role in a manufacturing facility preferable.
  • Develop preventative and predictive maintenance programs to support the asset operating commitments.
  • Good understanding of instrumentation, pneumatics, hydraulics and combustion systems.
  • Coach and develop assessed based electrical technician and electrical Manufacturing Team Members.
  • Knowledge of DCS systems.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Ensure the practical application of best maintenance practice in the asset area.
