Your Role

In this role, you will help us deliver better care for billions of people around the world. Implementing and improving maintenance practices in a facility that creates top‑notch products for nearly ¼ of the world's population is challenging work, but it is worth it when you are recognised often by your manager, supported by your team, and see those essential products being used by your own loved ones each day.

As part of the highly skilled Asset Support Team, the Mechanical Engineer will work under the direction of the Converting Asset Leader to provide both proactive and reactive maintenance support within their area discipline. This will be a hands‑on role in both planned maintenance and troubleshooting scenarios. In this role, you will be installing, maintaining and repairing mechanical components of machines and assets in our mill facility, in accordance with our reliability strategy and site safety standards.

About You

As a Mechanical Engineer, you are able to demonstrate your previous mechanical engineering experience, you work best under pressure and you deliver high value to your team by owning issues through resolution, being flexible (in both mindset and practice) and working collaboratively with them toward team goals.

  • A strong awareness for safety.
  • Demonstrate and drive the 3 Safety Obligations.
  • Take decisive action when in "red condition" versus standard.
  • Conduct all necessary Process health checks and essential care rounds.
  • Identifies appropriate solutions to failure.
  • Applies analysis techniques such as Asset Criticality, FMEAC / FMEA, RCM, Fall, Event and Weibull analysis.
  • Develop, track, measure and analyse site reliability metrics driving appropriate action plans.
  • Support all site condition monitoring activities.
  • Communicates closely with immediate team and Asset Leader to share condition of own area of responsibility.
