As part of the highly skilled Asset Support Team, the Technician will work under the direction of the Site Technical Team Leader to provide both proactive and reactive maintenance support within their area discipline. This will be a hands-on role in both planned maintenance and troubleshooting scenarios. In this role, you will be installing, maintaining and repairing electrical components of machines and assets in our mill facility, in accordance with our reliability strategy and site safety standards.
You’ll keep the equipment behind the production, packaging, and distribution of Arbex’s products running through preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance work. This role is part of Arbex’s investment in creating new jobs and expanding its capacity to make premium Andrex® and Kleenex® that are essential to millions of lives the world over, right here in Northfleet.
Qualifications
- A strong awareness for safety.
- Available to work flexible hours outside of normal day hours to cover a business need and to support a 24hr Call in Rota.
- A hands-on approach to problem solving, a flexible approach, and experience within a FMCG process/tissue/heavy engineering environment.
- Prepare and Lead Planned Maintenance activities including all scheduled Planned Maintenance shuts.
- To diagnose the cause of technical malfunction or failure of operational equipment, apply adequate resolutions including following work instruction.
Required Qualifications
- Recognized apprenticeship in a relevant field ideally NVQ level 3 (Electrical).
- Computer literacy skills.
