Located in the stunning Kimberley region of Western Australia, Kimberley Therapy Services (KTS) aspires to improve the outcomes and lives of individuals and their families by providing a range of services and the implementation of inclusive practices. Our offices are located in Broome, Derby and Kununurra, with travel opportunities to Fitzroy Crossing, Kununurra, Bidyadanga, Dampier Peninsula and more!
KTS applies an integrated and multidisciplinary approach that encompasses the dignity of risk, allowing people to be the experts in their own lives. We are looking for a suitably qualified Speech Therapist to join our team. The successful applicant will be hand-picked based on their passion and commitment to creating change in our community. An ideal candidate will work collaboratively with an experienced Clinical and Allied Health team to deliver high-quality services to NDIS participants.

The role:
Based in any of the office locations: Broome, Derby and Kununurra. You will be working alongside our current team members in a multidisciplinary health environment. You will administer assessments, provide direct and indirect intervention, and liaise with families, teachers, key stakeholders & support staff. Our fun and friendly working environment provides frequent opportunities for ongoing professional learning, creativity, input and complex case meetings.
Duties:
- Perform screenings, assess the participant's condition, and design a therapy and treatment plan to support the participant develop necessary speech skills.
- Assist adults, adolescents and children who have a disability or developmental delay to work towards increased functional independence and social participation.
- Provision of interventions to both participants and their families, including assessments, recommendations, and therapy/training.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor of Applied Science (Speech Pathology) or equivalent.
- Registration with Speech Pathology Australia.
- Certified Practicing Speech Pathologist (CPSP) status.
- Valid Driver's License and reliable vehicle.
- Working with Children Check, National Police Clearance and NDIS Screening Check.
- Ability to build rapport with clients and their families to make therapy enjoyable and engaging.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to travel to remote communities.
