Job Title: Development Chemist - Innovation Reporting To: Head of Research and Development Salary Band: Starting salary commensurate with experience and qualifications Location: Kilwaughter, Co. Antrim Job Purpose: In this newly created role, you will lead Research and NPI activities within the R&D department, collaborating with the Business Development function to execute projects according to technology road maps. The role emphasizes innovation, focusing on technological advances in the façade industry to deliver market-leading products that impact margin and revenue. You will also collaborate across departments on customer technical support, operations, product enhancement, and regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities: Lead ideation efforts, working with internal teams, academic organizations, suppliers, and market research entities to develop innovative and disruptive technologies. Plan and implement research, NPI, and technical study projects aligned with strategic goals, utilizing the NPI process and Business Development functions. Coordinate with the Senior Scientist Team Lead on project execution, including planning, scheduling, and implementation of new product development and improvements. Manage the introduction of new products to market through the stage-gate process, oversee scale-up activities, site trials, and customer feedback assessment. Lead and support the expansion of the innovation team, including mentoring Graduate Scientists. Provide technical support, advice, and training to internal teams and external customers. Represent the company at conferences, trade shows, and industry events.
