Would you like hands-on marketing experience with a fun student travel brand? Want to experience the world with KILROY and spread the message of our life-changing adventures? Then we’ve got the perfect opportunity for you!
We’re looking for an outgoing, proactive marketing student based in Bristol to generate brand awareness for KILROY. You’ll be responsible for promoting our range of adventures to your fellow students – from group tours to backpacking trips, volunteering abroad to working holidays.
As an intern, you’ll be working closely with our marketing team with lots of guidance and knowledge sharing to help you further your marketing career. But you’ll also have plenty of freedom and opportunity to make the role your own, suggesting creative ways to engage students and promote the KILROY brand.
Who we’re looking for:
- You’re proactive and a self-starter, coming up with new ideas and eager to make them happen.
- You’re social and enjoy talking to your peers, happy to explain the benefits of travelling with KILROY.
- You can manage your time effectively and deliver on work commitments.
- You’re creative and know your way around design tools like Canva well enough to create engaging promotional materials.
- You have your finger on the pulse of student life – you know how societies work, what makes them tick, and how best to get our message out there on campus.
- You enjoy running events and would be proud to be the face of KILROY at your university.
- You’re a first- or second-year student studying a marketing related course at Bristol University/UWE.
What you’ll be doing:
- Looking for opportunities to promote KILROY to students across your university.
- Reaching out to relevant societies to explain how KILROY can help with their passions.
- Hosting on-campus activation events to drive sign-ups for the KILROY mailing list or grow our social media following.
- Handing out/posting printed materials to drive awareness.
- Working with our Events and Social Media Coordinator to design in-store events that will attract students/societies and promoting these events on campus.
- Identifying students keen to travel and handing out exclusive discounts to encourage bookings with KILROY.
What we’re offering:
- A monthly salary of £600-£800 for 16hrs of work each week on a 12-month term (opportunity to extend for a second year).
- The opportunity to learn from our marketing team and gain valuable experience for your marketing career.
- The chance to earn credits towards a trip with KILROY based on performance.
How to apply:
Tell us why you’d be perfect for this role and what excites you most about this opportunity. Share your travel plans and experience with us too – where you’ve been, where you’d like to go, and what travel means to you. You could send us an eye-catching PDF or a short video – let your creativity and passion guide you. If we like what we see, we’ll invite you for an interview to hear more about your ideas for this role and give you the chance to meet our team and ask questions!
This role will be based in-person at our Bristol office: 43 Queens Rd, Clifton, Bristol BS8 1QQ.
