About the role

Our team shape projects that connect communities and impact daily life for millions. Join our BB Kilpatrick team as a Procurement Manager on our Sizewell Alliance and build new futures!

We are open to base location for this role however a weekly presence will be required at our office in Aztec West, Bristol.

What you’ll be doing

  1. Supporting the development & refinement of SZC’s Company Acquisition Plan in relation to MEH services and equipment
  2. Regular & pro-active liaison & support to SZC and MEH customers and stakeholders
  3. Development and execution of procurement strategies
  4. Leading the ITT (Invitation to Tender) process for a wide variety of services and equipment
  5. Developing long term Contracting strategies
  6. Maintain market understanding & due diligence
  7. To develop, implement and maintain appropriate performance measures for the contracts
  8. To follow the agreed Procurement processes and procedures at all times
  9. Devising and implementing appropriate supplier development strategies
  10. Devising and implementing supplier quality improvement programmes, cost reduction and continuous improvement initiatives with the supply chain
  11. Working closely with the other Supply Chain teams to set and drive metric performance measures with suppliers for continuous performance monitoring.
  12. To develop strategies that incentivise suppliers to deliver performance objectives.
  13. To understand and mitigate supply market risks.
  14. Accountable to the MEH Supply Chain Lead for delivery of business plan targets
  15. Accountable for the training & development of themselves on Procurement related issues
  16. Accountable for effective communication of Market developments within the area of responsibility

Who we’re looking for

  1. Relevant experience in a senior procurement role
  2. Ability to promote effective teamwork by personally acting as a mentor & role model
  3. Detailed working knowledge of the Procurement and Contract Management
  4. Knowledge of Company Philosophy, directives, standards & procedures
  5. Ability to communicate and network at all levels
  6. A degree, a relevant professional qualification & significant experience would be desirable
