Come and join our friendly, vibrant and fast-growing ecology team. Kiloh is a multi-discipline engineering and environmental company, with multiple offices around the UK. Kiloh supports a large number of UK frameworks within the renewable energy sector and for several local authorities. We also have clients in the food and drink sectors and regularly work with developers and large contractors to provide onsite ecological support. Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Undertake ecology site surveys including PEA's, breeding bird checks and protected species surveys.
  • Support more senior staff in undertaking specialist surveys.
  • Act as an Ecological Clerk of Works (ECoW) where required, undertaking pre-works checks and site support.
  • Produce ecological supporting documentation including PEA reports, species protection plans, ecological management plans and habitat management plans and input into EIA/EcIA chapters.
  • Provide ecological advice and support to project managers in all areas of our business.

Skills required:

  • A relevant ecology-focused degree, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role, or equivalent experience.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Good bird ID skills.
  • Understanding and experience of a range of survey methods in line with UK legislation.

Desirable:

  • CIEEM membership.
  • GIS skills.
  • CSCS card.
