Kilnwood Vale Primary are seeking an HLTA to join them on a temporary contract to cover maternity leave.
Your opportunity
Working under the direction of the Headteacher, the successful candidate will play a key role in supporting children's learning, ensuring that every child has access to a high-quality, inclusive education. This role is ideal for someone who is confident delivering planned lessons, supporting children with a range of needs, and committed to fostering a safe, engaging and positive learning environment. What we are looking for
- Hold relevant qualifications, including a good general education (GCSE English and Maths at Grade C or above) and an HLTA qualification.
- Have experience in supporting and delivering lessons to whole classes and supporting learning.
- Be skilled in adapting and delivering engaging learning strategies, managing behaviour effectively, and supporting pupils' emotional and academic development.
- Demonstrate strong organisational skills, including preparing resources, maintaining pupil records, and contributing to classroom planning.
- Show excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, working well with colleagues, children, and parents.
- Be motivated, flexible, and committed to maintaining high standards of professionalism and safeguarding.

The Details
- Start Date: 1st September 2026
- Salary: GLF Specialist Point 1 - £27,061 FTE Actual Salary: £21,663
- Contract Type: Temporary (mat cover), Term Time only
- Hours: 33.5 Hours per week to be worked 8:30 - 3:30pm (M, Tu, Th & Fr) and 8:30 - 16:30 on a Wednesday
