We are seeking a Senior Commercial Manager to guide and support our Commercial team, helping us deliver major projects with confidence, clarity and collaboration.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Creating a supportive, positive environment where your team feels encouraged, valued and motivated.
  • Holding regular, meaningful check-ins to help people grow their commercial skills and confidence.
  • Finding smarter, more collaborative ways of working that strengthen margins and make life easier for everyone involved.
  • Offering steady, trusted commercial advice during tendering to shape strong, competitive bids.
  • Managing monthly reporting (CVRs, forecasts, valuations) ensuring the information is accurate, clear and genuinely helpful.
  • Supporting audits, subcontract management and any disputes with fairness, clarity and calmness.
  • Leading claims, variations and final account work with confidence and professionalism.
  • Working closely with operational teams to ensure project delivery feels aligned, respectful and joined-up.
  • Helping with recruitment, onboarding and workforce planning so the team stays well-supported and resourced.

What You’ll Need

  • A warm, people-centred leadership style with the ability to build genuine, trusting relationships.
  • Relevant qualifications (HND/Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent experience).
  • Around 5+ years’ experience in Commercial Management within construction or a specialist discipline.
  • Strong communication skills, clear, confident and empathetic.
  • High numeracy, sound analysis and a keen eye for detail.
  • A solid understanding of construction processes, industry regulations and commercial best practice.
  • The ability to remain composed under pressure, approach challenges thoughtfully and handle conflict professionally.
  • Confidence using MS Office to produce clear, accurate reports.
  • A genuine passion for developing others, encouraging teamwork and creating an open, respectful culture.
