Kilnbridge is a leading Principal Contractor delivering complex civil engineering and infrastructure projects across the UK. We are currently seeking an experienced Site Manager / Senior Works Manager with a strong background in heavy groundworks and deep drainage works. This position is ideal for candidates operating at, or very close to, Construction Manager level, with the ability to manage technically demanding operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day management of all groundwork’s activities
  • Delivery of deep excavations and deep drainage schemes (all types)
  • Planning and supervision of cofferdam installations
  • Management of sheet piling operations
  • Coordination of plant, labour, and subcontractors
  • Ensuring works are completed safely, on programme, and to specification
  • Liaison with engineers, commercial teams, and site stakeholders
  • Maintaining high standards of HSEQ compliance

Essential Experience

  • Proven experience managing deep drainage and deep excavations
  • Strong background in all aspects of groundworks
  • Experience with cofferdams, sheet piling, and heavy plant
  • Previous experience working for a Principal Contractor
  • Ability to manage complex, multidisciplinary site operations independently

Desirable Qualifications

  • SMSTS / SSSTS
  • CSCS (Manager or Black Card preferred)
  • First Aid at Work
