Kilnbridge is hiring experienced Slinger Signallers to join its team working on a water infrastructure project in Crewe. This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected contractor delivering an important UK water project.

Position: Slinger Signaller

Location: Crewe

Start: 03/08/2026

Duration: 4 months+

Pay Rate: £19-£22 per hour

Hours: 50 hrs/week (paid)

Days: Mon–Fri

Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out slinging and signalling duties to support drainage and utility installation works.
  • Assisting with the safe lifting, movement, and placement of drainage materials and equipment.
  • Supporting the installation of plastic drainage pipes, including works involving fusion welding operations.
  • Assisting excavation teams working in trenches up to 1.5m deep.
  • Guiding lifting operations associated with trench sheeting and manhole installations.
  • Ensuring all lifting activities are completed safely and in accordance with site procedures.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience as a Slinger Signaller.
  • Competent in slinging and signalling operations, ensuring safe and efficient lifting activities on site.
  • Experience working for Tier 1 contractors on large-scale infrastructure or water projects – desirable.
  • Valid CPCS Slinger Signaller qualification.
  • Safety Critical Medical (SEQOHS accredited) – essential.
  • Valid Full UK Driving Licence.
