About Us: Kiln is a Thai-inspired open-kitchen restaurant in Soho, cooking with charcoal-fired woks and grills. Our cuisine is influenced by the border regions of Thailand, Myanmar, and Laos. We source exceptional produce from trusted farmers and growers. We foster a fast-paced, friendly environment where research, creativity, and new ideas are encouraged. We hold daily briefings with the team to taste dishes and wines from our ever-evolving menu. We value curiosity and humility—experience isn’t essential, but a desire to learn is.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Prioritise and enhance guest experience by focusing on excellent hospitality, guiding team members during service, and managing feedback.
  • Promote a positive work environment through professionalism, integrity, and strong work ethics aligned with Super 8 culture.
  • Host team meetings and team appraisals, encouraging growth and participation in training opportunities.
  • Be visible on the floor and in services, ensuring all guests are well looked after and noting any comments through the correct communication channels.
  • Ordering and purchasing products and stock.
  • Ensure employee compliance with internal and external policies and regulations.
  • Leading services and delivering daily team briefings.
  • Manage and operate POS systems.
  • Prepare and monitor rotas, working flexibly around demands of the team and business.
  • Maintain knowledge of our dishes and suppliers and train our junior team to ensure team members can confidently share our brand story with guests.
  • Collaborate with chefs to maintain consistency in dishes.
  • Understand food safety standards to uphold a 5-star EHO rating and support team development.
  • Promptly report and address site maintenance concerns, ensuring communication of actions taken.
  • Ensure that employees are trained on company values, job roles and responsibilities.

What you’ll bring:

  • Passion and knowledge of restaurants, good cooking, good sourcing of food and drink are a great headstart. But most important is the appetite to learn, grow and be a part of building the most exciting restaurant group in London.
  • A strong understanding of customer requirements in order to tailor service, ensuring all guests receive a warm and welcoming experience.
  • You know how to lead a team, and set an example for what hospitality excellence looks like.
  • 2 years of experience in team management, and hospitality.
  • Proven ability to lead, train and develop a team.
  • Commitment to the highest standards of approachable and warm persona.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts across 5 out of 7 days.
  • Full UK right to work documents.
