We are now looking for a dedicated Domestic Assistant to join the team in our 'Our Mother of Mercy' Home in Newry to ensure the high standard of cleanliness in the Nursing Home is maintained. The role is for 26 hours per week over 5 days, 8am-1pm, pay rate £12.71 per hour.
As Domestic Assistant your responsibilities are:
- Follow cleaning protocols and procedures to ensure a clean and sanitary environment.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and floors.
- Dust and wipe down surfaces, including desks, tables, and countertops.
- Vacuum carpets and mop floors to maintain cleanliness.
- Empty bins and replace liners as needed.
- Restock supplies such as toilet paper, hand soap, and paper towels.
- Perform floor care tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and buffing.
- Follow safety guidelines and use appropriate cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Assisting in the preparation and cooking of food.
- General cleaning of all areas within the kitchen and food preparation areas.
- Assisting in the service of meals and snacks.
Full induction and ongoing training provided.
