Are you compassionate, dedicated and have experience as a Care Assistant? Then we are looking for you! Our beautiful Avila Care Home in Bessbrook is now recruiting for an experienced, fulltime Senior Care Assistant, pay rate of £13.32 per hour. Known for our compassion and expertise, Kilmorey Care is a trusted name in Irish healthcare. We are deeply committed to providing the highest standard of care and support to our residents. We provide long term, respite, convalescence, & nursing care.
As a Senior Care Assistant you are required to provide the excellent standard of care expected to all residents. Responsible for all aspects of personal care, our senior care assistants are able to support, encourage and enable independence to our residents at Avila Nursing Home. Duties include:
- Personal care to residents
- Bathing
- Toileting
- Dressing
- Helping at mealtimes and throughout the day
- Ensuring that a resident's bedroom is tidy and that there is a welcoming atmosphere throughout the home
In addition, Senior Care Assistants will oversee the induction of new Care Assistants, guide and support new members of staff, are responsible for ordering provisions & toiletries and offer a step up in assistance to the Nurses on duty. Senior Care Assistants provide a greater level of responsibility and may help in the auditing process and complete tasks set by the Nurse in Charge.
