We are now looking for a Maintenance Person, permanent in our Avila Nursing Home, Bessbrook. Hourly rate of £12.71, 32 hours per week, 9am-4.30pm Monday - Thursday, 9am-1pm Friday.

Join our team as a Maintenance Person where you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues promptly to minimise downtime.
  • Supervise fire drills for staff and coordinate schedules.
  • Some light driving duties, for example, dropping scripts off or picking up packages.
  • Uphold safety protocols and regulations in all maintenance activities.
  • Some light painting and decorating, basic plumbing and gardening skills required.

Must have full UK driving licence.

Experience:
  • Proficiency in English for effective communication with team members and vendors.
  • Strong customer service skills to interact with external contractors.
  • Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and repair various equipment types.
  • Familiarity with electrical systems and components.
  • Prior experience in maintenance is a plus.
