We are now looking for a Kitchen Assistant to work 23 hours in our Avila care home in Bessbrook. PAY RATE Β£12.71 per hour.

The Kitchen Assistant is responsible for the cleanliness of the kitchen and of all equipment, cleaning materials, liquids and solvents used in the kitchen. He/she will assist in the preparation and cooking of food.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with food preparation and meal assembly in accordance with established recipes and standards.
  • Assist in the service of all meals and snacks and complete food choice lists for residents at each mealtime.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, utensils, and equipment.
  • Ensure all food safety protocols are followed, including proper storage and handling of ingredients.
  • Support the team during busy periods by assisting with various kitchen tasks as required.
  • Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment at all times.
