About Us: Kilgannon & Partners LLP is a leading boutique law firm specialising in HR, employment law and immigration. We are committed to delivering high-quality legal services to a diverse range of clients; both businesses and individuals. We are known for our client-focused service, and supportive work environment. The firm has grown significantly in its relatively short existence through a combination of organic growth, mergers and attracting several excellent fee-share lawyers. The firm operates both a fee-share model and traditional employed roles. We are now looking for a talented Senior Associate to join our dynamic team on a traditional employed basis to work closely with and support some of the partners.
The Role: We are seeking an experienced employment solicitor to handle a varied caseload of employment law and HR matters, both contentious and non-contentious, but with a strong bias towards advising employers (ranging from start-ups / fast-growth businesses to SMEs and large multi-national corporates). This is an excellent opportunity to work on a broad range of matters for high quality clients, advising on all aspects of employment law, including:
- Providing proactive and practical day-to-day employment law support to a diverse group of employer stakeholders, from business owners and HR Managers to C-suite executives and in-house counsel.
- Advising on sensitive workplace disputes, including grievance and disciplinary issues.
- Supporting employers with restructuring processes.
- Drafting employment contracts, policies and procedures.
- Negotiating exits and drafting settlement agreements.
- Defending employment tribunal claims.
- Advising senior executives and HNW individuals as and when needed.
You will likely have your own caseload and be expected to manage that, with support from the Partners who will be responsible for providing and supervising most of your work, as needed. You will be expected to contribute to business development initiatives and growing existing client accounts. We will also support you in building your own profile, reputation and practice, if that is important to you.
About You: Qualified Solicitor (with the experience expected of someone who has at least 5 years of PQE in employment law, advising predominantly employer clients). We will also consider more experienced candidates, up to and including Partner level. Strong knowledge of employment law and technical expertise. Excellent communication and client management skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Client-focused approach and self-discipline to manage work autonomously. Confident in managing a diverse caseload with minimal supervision. Proven track record of managing a busy caseload effectively.
What We Offer: Competitive salary and benefits package, including bonuses. Opportunities for swift career development and progression, if desired. No artificial or unachievable chargeable hours targets. Supportive and collaborative working environment. Regular firm socials. Ongoing training and professional development. Easy to use Practice Management Systems, which sync seamlessly with the latest Microsoft products; Outlook and Word.
How to Apply: If you are a proactive and driven Employment Solicitor looking to join a reputable firm, we would love to hear from you. Join us and be part of a team that values excellence, trust, honesty and integrity. Please send your CV in the strictest of confidence to Dom Holmes. Kilgannon & Partners LLP is an equal opportunities employer, regulated by the SRA.
