Location: Hunts Grove Primary Academy, Harrier Way, Gloucester, GL2 4EP

Hours: Flexible within 8:00am – 5:30pm during school holidays

Salary: Competitive, depending on experience

About KiKi’s Holiday Playscheme: KiKi’s Kidz provides fun, engaging, and safe holiday activities for children. Our Holiday Playscheme combines active play, sports, and creative activities to inspire children and promote healthy lifestyles. We are looking for an enthusiastic Sports Coach to join our team and deliver high-quality, fun, and inclusive sports sessions for children aged 3–11 years.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, deliver, and supervise a range of sports and physical activities suitable for children aged 3–11.
  • Adapt sessions to suit both our tiny tots and our older children.
  • Ensure all activities are safe, inclusive, and enjoyable for all participants.
  • Encourage teamwork, confidence, and positive behaviour in children.
  • Set up and clear away sports equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Work as part of the playscheme team to support other activities when required.
  • Follow all safeguarding, health and safety, and KiKi’s Kidz policies and procedures.

Person Specification:

  • Experience working with children in either a childcare or coaching role.
  • Able to adapt games and skills to suit different age groups – from preschoolers who need gentle guidance to older kids who “think they know it all.”
  • Energetic, enthusiastic, and confident in working with groups of children.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, reliability, and a positive attitude.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).

Desirable:

  • First Aid qualification
  • Experience working in holiday clubs, schools, or youth programmes.
