KIEZ is a Berlin-inspired restaurant and bar in Notting Hill, with a kebab-led menu rooted in Turkish and Eastern Mediterranean cooking. We're looking for experienced Prep Chefs who are comfortable with both large production days and the detail of daily preparation. You'll work through planned batches, keep fresh mise en place moving and carry out checks throughout the day so the kitchen stays stocked, safe and ready for service. • Complete bulk production of dips, sauces, marinades and other components, following recipes and batch quantities accurately. • Manage daily preparation of vegetables, salads, garnishes and meat components to the required specification. • Organise tasks around preparation, cooking and cooling times so production is completed safely and on schedule. • Work from production sheets and daily prep lists; record quantities made, usable yields and any shortages. • Check stock, freshness, dates, labels, storage temperatures and prep levels at opening, throughout the day and at handover. • Replenish daily mise en place against agreed pars and flag shortages or quality concerns before they affect service. • Receive and rotate deliveries, store food correctly, and maintain allergen and cross-contamination controls. • Keep equipment and work areas clean as you go, record wastage and leave a clear handover for the service team. • Experience in a production kitchen or busy fresh-food restaurant with substantial batch-preparation days. • Confidence switching between bulk production and smaller daily tasks without losing accuracy or pace. • Strong knife skills, accurate weighing and portioning, and the ability to follow recipes with minimal supervision. • A consistent habit of checking quality, storage and stock throughout the shift, with sound food safety knowledge.
