Kier is looking for a dedicated Highways Maintenance Operative to join our Transportation team. If you take pride in hands-on work, enjoy being part of a supportive team, and want a role where no two days are the same, this could be the perfect opportunity.
You'll play a vital part in delivering essential services that keep our roads safe and our communities connected. From tarmac and paving works to emergency call-outs and traffic management, your contribution will help us deliver on our promises to clients and the public.
Location: Picketts Lock - N9 0AT or Staines, Wraysbury - TW19 6HA
Hours: Permanent, full time of 40 hours per week on a shift pattern including days and nights
Salary: £14.80 to £16.00 per hour depending on experience + uplift for nights + overtime + call out & standby
What will you be responsible for?
- Working as part of a team to carry out tarmac and paving works, traffic management and winter service delivery
- Responding to emergency works and completing safety-critical tasks
- Liaising professionally with members of the public when approached on site
- Following Safe Systems of Work, Risk Assessments, ICoP and all training provided
- Completing required paperwork accurately and on time (e.g., PUWER checks, HAVS forms)
