We're looking for a Managing Quantity Surveyor to join our Southern Water team based in Falmer/Chatham.

Location: Southern Water Offices, Falmer/Chatham – remote working available, with occasional travel to the office required.

Hours: 40 hours per week – some flexibility on hours available if desired.

What will you be responsible for?

  • Leading and developing the commercial team, nurturing talent and ensuring high performance
  • Providing robust commercial reporting, maintaining accurate cost and value management
  • Building positive relationships with clients and stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes
  • Managing subcontract letting, negotiation and financial accounting processes
  • Implementing effective risk management and mitigation strategies to achieve commercial targets

What are we looking for?

  • You have a degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent qualification, preferably with RICS membership
  • You bring significant experience in senior commercial roles, ideally within the water sector or regulated utilities
  • You have a comprehensive understanding of NEC contracts and current Construction Law
  • You excel at building collaborative relationships with clients and supply chain partners
  • You're passionate about nurturing talent and creating an inclusive team environment
