We're looking for a Highways Maintenance Operative to join our Transportation Team based in Birmingham.
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (07:00 to 15:30)
Salary: £27,976 to £28,500 depending on qualifications and experience + overtime + call out + standby
As a Highways Maintenance Operative, you'll contribute to essential environmental maintenance while working outdoors in a supportive team atmosphere. You'll be working within the TML team, supporting them in maintaining environmental standards across the Network. This includes:
- Carrying out seasonal work including tree planting in winter and targeted weed spraying in summer
- Assisting with risk assessments and responding to emergency works when required
- Contributing to an inclusive workplace that values wellbeing and diversity
This role is great for you if:
- You hold a full driving licence
- You enjoy being active outdoors and have the fitness to walk over 6 miles daily while carrying equipment
