We're looking for a Highways Maintenance Operative AaA (Attend and Assess) to join our Transportation Team. Location: Stanford Depot (CT21 4UX)
Contract: Full Time, Permanent (4 on 4 off, 12-hour shifts night or day)
Salary: £13.45 to £15.83 per hour dependent on experience and qualifications (weekly paid)

What will you be responsible for?
As a Highways Maintenance Operative, you'll be working as part of a team to maintain the efficient and timely delivery of the operational requirements for a designated area of the network. You'll also be the single point of contact (Network Hub) out of hours to ensure the safe deployment of operatives working on the network.
Your day to day will include:
- Part of the response team, promptly dealing with incidents and emergency works on the network as directed by National Highways
- Carry out daily checks of labour plant and materials sheet and ensure efficient utilisation.
- Work closely with team members to actively promote Health and Safety in the workplace, setting a good example to other employees and ensuring awareness of Health and Safety compliance
- Assist with the deployment of other resources to incident scenes as required. Perform other duties as may from time to time be reasonably required
- Support with the delivery of Severe weather where required
